Goodbye Looseyfur

I said goodbye to Looseyfur this morning. We adopted her July 31, 1998, and she passed away this morning Feb. 2, 2009. Since she was adopted as an adult she was between 14-22 years of age. Fancy Cats thought she was 4. Our vet in Virginia said she was between 8-12 years old... so she was ageless. She set the standard for awesome cats everywhere. We loved her very much, and she will be missed.

Oh I am sorry. Because they are a daily and dependable part of our lives, the loss of a pet is so hard. I hope X-man isn't too upset (if he understands at all).

So sorry.

Looseyfur clearly added a lot to your family, and you all gave her a wonderful life.

I hope you had the sense of peace that it was time :-).

Thinking about you.

I am a volunteer with Fancy Cats Rescue Team, Fairfax, Virginia. I give the FeLV+ cats their forever home. I can't thank you enough for giving Looseyfur her forever home. With you she always had a warm, safe place to sleep with plenty of fresh food and clean water. Plus a wonderful family who loved her. No cat could ask for more. Looseyfur has gone to the Rainbow Bridge where she is once again young, running and playing, just waiting for you to join her.

There must be a heaven for the animal friends we have. They are not human, yet they bring out our humanity -- sometimes in ways that people cannot. They do not worry about fame or fortune; instead they bring our hearts nearer to the joy of simple things. Each day they teach us little lessons
in trust and steadfast affection.
Whatever heaven may be, there's
surely a place in it for friends as good as these. --Author Unknown

Thank you so much for adopting Looseyfur and giving her a happy home. I can tell from your photos that she was surrounded by love until her last breath.
