Getting ready for my second 5k

So, I've been trying to work on running whole 5k. Today I managed to walk twice on a 5k run for 2 blocks. But I was pretty happy with my run.

Nicely done! I found keeping a good steady pace and setting yourself smaller achievements in the run really help - like just run to the tree in the distance, and then run to the corner a few blocks away... I also found it easier when I was running in a group of people, but that's probably just a race thing :-) Oh, and I found my Nike + is a bit off with the time - I used it in my 5K race and it told me I'd done 5.4KM, so you may want to up your training distance to get a full handle on the 5K...

I checked my calibration this a.m. -- sorta. I plotted my route with google. It said it was 4.079 miles. And the iPod said 4.06. So, it's a little more. I'll try to work with the actual calibration settings when I have time. But thanks for the heads up.
