My husband talked with a family member before we left for vacation. He said they kept asking how many blocks our house was from the beach. He wasn't clear if they didn't believe we were on the beach or just couldn't comprehend it.
So, I guess, I'm not sure how many blocks this is...

How did you find this rental house? Through a website? We are thinking of going to San Antonio this winter and I was thinking a house or condo might be the way to go.
This is my 4th vacation rental finding a place using VRBO.com. I love the site. It's been really helpful, particularly since we like to take the dog with us on vacation and 3/4 times I've rented, it's been looking for pet and kid-friendly rentals.
I just checked out the website - thanks! It is awesome! I've seen some in the past that ask you to sign up and even want fees before you are able to view properties. This one is great!

But that's too much sand for my liking! LOL
